Our Story
Mackay Aquatic & Recreation Complex is located in Ooralea. Our facility consists of 15m warm water programs pool, 25m Pool, 50m World Aquatics FINA approved pool, 400m tartan running track and athletics field.
We offer group exercise classes which also include services for seniors, kids’ birthday parties and a small kiosk, open seven days a week. We are the perfect place for our community to make new friends while working on your health and fitness.

Our Facilities
Aquatic
Our aquatic and recreation complex features three outdoor pools. This includes a 50m World Aquatics approved swimming pool, a 25m undercover pool and a heated programs pool.
Sports
Get moving and experience an array of athletic events on our 400m track and athletics field.
Swimming Lessons
GOswim swimming and water safety lessons are a fun and engaging way for kids and adults to learn to swim and be safe in aquatic environments. Suitable for infants from 6 months of age through to adults and offered all year.
Aquatic Exercise
Aquatic Exercise classes are a great, social way to keep active. Classes increase confidence, motivation and accountability whilst making you smile.
Café
After building up an appetite in the swimming pool, be sure to visit our café offering a range of healthy snacks, coffee and food options.
Accessibility
We aim to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for people of all abilities. Our facilities, programs and services have been designed to allow people of all abilities to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
